When it's particularly cold and harsh outside, wild birds can often struggle to find sufficient food. You can give them a hand by putting out seed and nut feeders in your garden! And guess what? Don't forget that cats and other animals often seek warmth and protection under cars, and under car wheel arches during the winter. Make sure you check before setting off for work if you drive! You might save a life :)

Snugglesafe Microwave Heatpad | Natural World Pets

During the colder months, rabbits are often forgotten, as the car needs scraping first thing in the morning and that coffee is even more important to get us going. Don't forget that they too feel the cold and that there are ways you can protect them from it! Adding plenty of straw and bedding to the hutch is really important as it provides insulation and a place for them to snuggle down. Putting a hutch cover over the top of it (or just some tarpaulin) will protect your bunny from icy wind and rain. Water bottles often freeze overnight so be sure to put a bottle cover on to keep it insulated! Even with this cover, the spout can still freeze, so although it may be liquid in the bottle, it may not be accessible. Be sure to check this every morning! Another good idea is to get a Snugglesafe microwave heat pad.
