Tess & Leyna after being groomed today
Please note that the grooming is still being done from my house at Endmoor or at Milnthorpe Kennels, there seems to be some confusion about this.
Its that time of year again, where harvest mites are about! This is what they look like, little orange dots. They are normally found amongst the dogs toes/feet and in the folds on the face, near to the eyes. Best thing to avoid them, is to keep out of grass as much as you can. The only thing that helps to control them is Insecticidal shampoo. This can be obtained through your vets or contact me. The season is from now up until the Autumn. Once it goes cold and we get sharp frosts, it will kill them off.
If anyone wants their dogs grooming this month, I have only got some space next week, beg. 17th July. After that it will be from Wednesday 09th August onwards. Thanks Sarah
Kennel Cough is doing the rounds, around the Kendal area. If your dog is showing signs of coughing or unwell, please contact me first before bringing your dog for grooming. It is highly contagious, as it it air borne. Even if they have had the KC vaccine, they can still catch a different strain of it, if you come into contact with a contaminated dog on a walk. Thankyou
