Baby wearing can be essential for some of us mummies and baby wearing exercise classes are on the increase. Here's a few tips to consider before starting a baby wearing class: • Is baby wearing comfortable for you? If you feel discomfort in the lower back, core or pelvic floor you may need to limit carrying time and work on these areas baby free first. • Is your posture and alignment correct? Your ribs should be over your hips at all times and you should have an untucked bum with a natural arch in the lower back. • Classes should alternate seating and standing exercises. Classes longer than 20min should offer seated exercises to limit the pressure through the pelvic floor- take the load off. • Remember to breath Exhale your breath, Engage the core- draw belly button to spine. Exert the exercise. • Tune into your body Do you feel discomfort, heaviness in the pelvic floor, lower back pain, an urge to pee. Stop Sit and Rest.
We have a week off from Buggy Fitness this week but start back with a new block on the 3rd March. As we hit the spring/ summer we are hoping to be based outside every session with new ideas and new exercises. Our first and for most priority is to make sure new mums are starting back to exercise safety, after hearing feedback from class ladies we have decided to keep this our main focus but also to up the anti a little. This means harder options on exercises, more cardio and a faster pace Class. To book your place for the next 6 week block don't hesitate to contact us, places fill fast.
