Qualified Equine Manual Manipulation Therapist and trained therapy machine operator.
Trained by Carol Whitwood McSp, and founder ACPAT member.  I am a qualified Equine Manual Manipulation Therapist with a specialism in therapy and rehabilitation. I have been trained by equine physiotherapist and founder member of ACPAT, Carol Whitwood McSp. I am qualified in the use of laser, ultrasound and magnetic field therapy.

I specialise in maintaining the correct working alignment of your horses back allowing him to maintain suppleness, power and overall wellbeing to unlock his full potential to meet the demands of modern day equine sports.

It can be common for a horse to put his back out of alignment, especially the sacro-iliac joint because of its limited amount of movement. This means by slipping, twisting, jumping awkwardly, getting cast, falling, or getting injured can cause the horse to misalign his sacroes. Likewise, hard ground can cause jarring. This misalignment is very slight and won't be seen on an x-ray, but will have an effect on surrounding muscles. It is also common for the joints of the spine to become jammed when a vacuum of air gets trapped inside the joint, limiting the amount of movement that joint can provide.

In some (not all) symptoms may include:
> Abnormal or constant behavioural issues.
> Pain along the back or neck when palpated.
> Dipping when being saddled or mounted.
> Abnormal jumping issues (poles and refusals).

> No engine! Horse not working from behind when asked.
> Uneven muscle development.
> Change in gait. Sometimes the result of jarring from hard surfaces.
These are only a few of the associated symptoms.
