This blouse sadly got trapped in a skirt zip and had to be cut out. I used a piece cut from the shoulder pad to mend it with tiny stitches and then patched the shoulder pad (not shown). If the blouse is worn tucked in the mend will barely show.

These items all had ripped underarms. The coats were hand sewn invisibly along the seam to restore usability while the blue dress had a hole that was patched using material taken from inside the pocket.

This beloved coat with massive sentimental value had been badly damaged by a dog. I used sheepskin the client had rescued plus a patch taken from inside the pocket to mend it, then mended the pocket using synthetic fleece and suedette to recreate the original feel. The coat is now wearable and bears proudly the scars of its journey.

My daughter wanted to be a butterfly for World Book Day so I created a pattern and ran up these purple wings for her to wear in less than an hour and 1/2 metre of fabric. She's delighted and thinks Mummy is very clever! 😁 They attach with elastic wrist loops and a thread chain at the middle back which hooks onto the top button of a cardigan worn backwards.

I don’t just do clothes. This is a custom cover for the wheel of a yacht made with flat felled seams for strength and attractiveness, and the client is very pleased with it.

This lovely bespoke suit had got caught and damaged on the sleeve. I had to remove all loose threads which left a large hole, then reweave the fabric as invisibly as possible. Long-term the client will ask the original suit creator to replace the damaged panel in the sleeve, but with a wedding to attend in two days' time this mend will be almost unnoticeable and prevent the damage worsening. And yes it is the same suit! The camera on my phone interpreted the light differently in each pic for some reason.

My phone has deleted all my texts and messages - if you were mid-conversation with me regarding picking up three dresses, or a relined coat, from me please get in touch as they are ready.

This beautiful silk bedspread had torn along a number of seams. Hand sewn ladder stitch restored it so it can continue to be used.

This cycling all in one had been torn on the thigh by a branch. My client requested a mend "but it doesn't matter what it looks like". It needed a strong mend that can withstand being stretched, as it's a bodycon item. I hand sewed a patch behind using a hand stretch stitch, then stitched up the rip. It's as pretty as it can be and will ensure many more miles of happy cycling. And only £3!

This lovely lace dress had a high neckline that didn't flatter my client. I changed it to a low square neckline which suits her much better and she is really pleased with the result. Small changes can make such a difference.
