Funtime Friday !! The Curves Community is a phrase that's often use in the club The sense of community is so evident from the amazing team helping and supporting everyone to the warmth and welcoming nature of members when new members (and staff join 😍) start on the circuit. There are well over 300 members - that's a lot of names for me to remember! Hello I'd like to introduce myself to all of you lovely Curves Facebook Members. My name is Karen and I am a new member of staff at Curves and have also taken over the role of administrator for the Facebook page. I have been with Curves for a month now and loving my time here. I was very excited about getting a job and being given the chance to be working alongside supporting so many of you in your journey towards improved physical and mental health. I know that we have so many demands put on us in our busy daily lives that it's so important to exercise and take care of ourselves. I know when I exercise I feel so much better but even more importantly when I DON'T I soon notice how rubbish I feel..... I look forward to getting to know you all a lot better. Karen

Training tip for today ! The role of protein. Protein is necessary in building and repairing body tissues. If we do not receive enough protein in their diet, muscle wasting and other symptoms may result. Strength training exercises causes micro-tears in the muscle and as your body repairs these tears, it causes the muscles to enlarge. Protein is necessary to the immune response that helps to heal the tiny muscle-tears. Additionally more muscles means a faster metabolism which will help members either to maintain or lose weight.
