Yesterday's bouquet. A thank you to my A* Spanish teacher who has helped and supported me, my friend and three others. Flowers courtesy of Morrison's and foliage from my neighbours garden! Roll on Friday morning when my GCSE Exam will be all over and done with and I get my life back!!!

My quick stint at Sainsbury's Harpenden, before going to the day job, making flower arrangements to be raffled in aid of Herts Air Ambulance, if you're local pop by and get a ticket to support this great charity X

Tomorrow is National Flower Arranging Day. My lovely friends at Harpenden Evening Floral Group and I will be at Sainsbury's Harpenden making flower arrangements and raffling them in aid of Herts Air Ambulance, I'll be there 9.30 - 10.30 before going to my day job. Local friends feel free to pop by and support us and this amazing charity, anytime between 9.30 - 5.00pm xxx

I am back from hols and now on an economy drive so reusing the make shift vase from my post on 1st March (in case you missed it first time round) Take a jar of olives, add a yellow ribbon and a £1 bunch of daffodils simple, cheap and pretty!

Flowers in egg shells and cups. I have filled these with a few muscari, narcissus and a stem of heather from my garden. Cut the top of the egg off and make a hole in the bottom of the shell (for the stems to poke through so they stand up) fill the egg cup with water, place the egg shell in it and add your choice of flowers. Simple!

Six days on, it's interesting all flowers seem to have opened at a similar rate. I think the newspaper ones are slightly straighter. But 'the jury is out' on which technique is the best. What do you think??

So Day 4 ... I'm thinking ... Vase 1 (far left which were wrapped in newspaper) are the straightest? Vase 4 (far right which are just in water) are the floppiest? Vase 2 and 3 (in the middle) about the same? Vase 3 and 4 have drunk the most water. All are starting to open ... Interesting! Will recut all stems and place in fresh water. Check back for the next update!
