Read Catherine's story

Catherine is raising money for the Eastbourne Adoption Centre, please help her by checking out her justgiving page. This is her story.... It's official, I am completely crazy! Not only have I decided to challenge myself to swim a mile in a very chilly lake but I will also have to wear a ghastly wetsuit! Having never taken part in a charity challenge before I thought this would be a great place to start. I've always enjoyed swimming, though this challenge will push my boundaries beyond my standard comfort zone of gym pool or sun-drenched beach and really make me put myself to work! I would be really grateful if you would please help support, motivate and inspire me by making a donation for Cats Protection. Cats Protection is the UK's leading feline welfare charity. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of their needs. Homing - finding good homes for cats in need Neutering - Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats Information - Improving people's understanding of cats and their care In 2015 we re-homed 44,000 cats. Since 2010 we have re-homed and re-united more than 1/4 million cats; neutered over 1 million cats preventing millions of unwanted kittens; delivered over 2000 educational talks to help people take a more responsible view of cat ownership and welfare. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Hello I've noticed that you post 'lost cat' links and I wondered if you could just share my request please. We have a very elderly 20ish cat who's health has been steadily declining and vision has gone in the last month. Apart from age related issues, she's eating, toiletting and sleeping. She's been slowing down but savouring this hot weather and we've been getting her in every evening when the sun goes down. Except last night she wasn't there and we can't find her, we've asked the neighbours to look but we suspect she's isolated herself intentionally as it's difficult to get out of the garden. But I would feel better to know that we've tried to find her by sharing to a wider audience, so if you could share. Very slim, slight of build older black cat with pink leopard print collar from the Hydenye area of Eastbourne. Please call 07936 013030. Thank you.
