Kids BJJ & Kickboxing is back this week! Thursday 515-6pm for Kickboxing. Saturday 11-1145am for BJJ. The classes are open to children aged 6-11, and teach techniques in a friendly way, adding in games to make the classes enjoyable and build a skill in BJJ & Kickboxing.

Along with our Rio Grappling Club teammates in Aberdeen and Glasgow, we came second in the team trophy. Despite there being a relatively small crew down 🙌🥇

3 competitors out today in England 🌊 5 golds 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 1 Bronze 🥉 Kemp and Dav Winning both the Gi and No Gi divisions 🎉🥳 Gav winning his no gi division submitting everyone along the way, then managing a bronze in the gi division after a long wait. Heavyweight Gold for Kemp down in England!! 🌊🥇🌊🥇 I love when kemp wins, not just because hes my mate and one of the team. But there's an added element for me, because he at one point had been convinced he wasn't a good grappler. I used to be in the same training room thinking "Youse guys are all mental. With the right guidance he has the attributes to be a nightmare." I remember trying to get Jamie to persuade him to come train with us once IBJJ had started. I thought he would be great for the training room but believed he could start winning regularly. Fast forward after a few years working with kemp and hes winning most tournaments he enters. Just goes to show, you don't know what you're capable of till you're in the right circumstances. Heavyweight gold, when he could compete at lightweight 🌊🥇
