CLUB DEVELOPMENT COMPETITION: MORNING SESSION: This morning 16 of our Acro Development gymnasts traveled to Devon to compete in the South West Club Development Competition held in Honiton. 🚙 The gymnasts worked in pairs to complete a standardised sequence for the judges. For all of these gymnasts this was their first ever external competition with Severn Valley, which gave them their first taste of a regional level competition. Both nerves and excitement were high but these young gymnasts remained calm and gave an outstanding performance. 👏🏼 We are beyond proud of you all and can’t wait to see you all in many more competitions to come! 🏆👏🏼 RESULTS: Bethany & Charlie 1st 🥇 Katie & Liberty 1st 🥇 Daisy & Lexi 1st 🥇 James & Holly 2nd 🥈 A big well done to Olivia, Harriet, Shorna, Teagan, Freya, Luisa, Charlotte and Abby for their amazing performances today. Medals are a lovely bonus but remember getting out there and performing in front of a room full of people is the real achievement of the day 💙 well done to all the SVGC gymnasts, you did your club, your coaches and most importantly yourselves extremely proud today 🌟 CLUB DEVELOPMENT COMPETITION: AFTERNOON SESSION: Following the success of the mornings session, the bar was set high for our Regional Competition Squad. A group of 18 SVGC regional gymnasts arrived in Honiton ready to wow the judges with their routines. 🤗 We had some brand new partnerships taking to the floor today so lots of firsts a few extra nerves to consider. Being a regional competition, gymnasts from all over the South West of England, from Gloucester to Devon arrived to battle it out for those converted top 3 podium places. Severn Valley gymnasts even managed a clean sweep in the grade 1 pairs category. 🥇🥈🥉 RESULTS: Tameika and Ariella 1st 🥇 Darcie and Sydney 2nd 🥈 Gethin and Bryony 2nd 🥈 Martha and Kiera 3rd 🥉 A huge well done to Scarlett, Ruby W, Darcie, Ruby E, Valerija, Skye, Ruby T, Jessica, Ruby J and Ava who all narrowly missed out on a podium place today, some by as little as 0.1 of a mark! Well done everyone you should all be super proud of yourselves 💙

MOELWYN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: DAY 2: Our last day at the Moelwyn International competition was another fantastic day for Severn Valley 🥰 After qualifying yesterday, today it was time for our Grade 3, 4 and Youth partnerships to take part in the finals 🤞🏼 FINALS RESULTS, DAY 2: Olivia & Lila 1st 🥇 Ava & Chloe 1st 🥇 Beth & Lucy 2nd 🥈 Erin, Emma & Immy 2nd 🥈 Maia & Lainie 3rd 🥉 Hannah & Liv 3rd 🥉 Olivia, Sienna & Kayla 3rd 🥉 Also a special mention to our Grade 3 pair Ava and Chloe who got the highest score of the whole day with a fantastic 26.20!! 🏆 Over the whole weekend Severn Valley have had 30 gymnasts compete, 28 gymnasts qualify for finals and 26 gymnasts medal 🏅 We also had the highest scoring routine of Saturday & the highest scoring routine of Sunday!! 🏆 To say we are extremely proud of every single one of you is an understatement!! MOELWYN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: DAY 1: A great day all round for the 30 Seven Valley gymnasts who competed in Wales today for the Moelwyn International competition 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇧🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 With the morning session being used for qualifications the pressure was on to perform amazing routines to get in the top three places and go through to finals. We never doubted our fantastic gymnasts and are so pleased and proud to say we have finalists in every one of our categories! 🏆 FINALS RESULTS, DAY 1: Daisy & Brixie 1st 🥇 Harrison & Matilda 1st 🥇 Joe & Elijah 1st 🥇 Ruby, Lucy & Ellie 1st 🥇 Summer and Myla 2nd 🥈 Also a special mention to our Grade 2 pair Daisy and Brixie who got the highest score of the whole competition with an amazing 26.28 !! Great job girls! 💚

📸PHOTO COMPETITION 2019 📸 Severn Valley Gymnastics club are celebrating British Gymnastics 'International Handstand Day' with our very own photo competition. Simply take a photo of your Severn Valley Gymnast showing off their best or most creative handstand (wearing their Severn Valley kit if you have any) and post it to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #SevernValleyHandstandComp2019 On international handstand day (Saturday 29th June) we will pick our favourite handstand photo, and the winner will receive a Severn Valley Goodie bag! A second goodie bag will also go to the Gymnast whose picture gets the most 'Likes' so get sharing those photos! All Severn Valley Gymnasts can enter, from our afterschool and beginner classes to elite. You can enter as many times as you like, using the hashtag #SevernValleyHandstandComp2019 You can also use the hashtag #HandstandDay to share the fun with British Gymnasts all over the country.
