Voe Vanguard – Maiden Voyage Delta Marine’s first of class Damen RSV3315 Voe Vanguard has today departed the shipyard for her first contract, anchor handling in Morecambe Bay, England. She will then make an appearance at Seawork before proceeding to her next project. The diesel electric system powering 4 x Rolls-Royce azimuth thrusters and controlled by a Kongsberg KPOS DP2 unit gives exceptional position keeping capabilities and excellent fuel efficiency. Twin HS cranes cover the 240m2 aft deck with a minimum lift of 15t at all positions. The aft crane will lift 58.5t over the stern roller, the fwd crane also lifting 10t at the stern. A combined towing / anchor handling winch has a split drum with slice allowing a constant line pull of 150t. Two sets of 200t shark jaws combined with 115t guide pins on centre line and a 100t stop pin each side of the roller are used to safely carry out mooring/anchor handling operations. The 4 point mooring system, using 13t winches (each with 400m of wire), cow catchers and HHP anchors provide secure mooring during dive support operations. Wire leads on the aft deck run clear of all container fittings. Removable bulwarks allow oversize loads, LARS provision etc. over each side. Comfortable air conditioned accommodation is provided for 18 persons, each berth fitted with access to radio, sat tv & ship’s local area network. The spacious messroom on 1st deck with seating for 18 provides a venue for project discussions etc. Catering is provided by a separate fully fitted galley. A dedicated position allows TLQ installation clear of the work area. For Voe Vanguard charter information, contact info@deltamarine.scot or +44 1595 694 799
