Food delivered today to the church on berryknowes road and also the 50pence church by volunteers CCG. Met some volunteers who are so humble and very thankful. CCG has a method of facilitating its foodbank which is a little different from other foodbanks in that we go out and look for needy people all over glasgow and over the last 4years we can report that we have been lucky to be able to help thousands of people from all communities. Presently we are working in partnership with scottish govt to support more families out of the poverty trap and enable them to transform their lives for the better.

Yesterday at the CCG, children from local schools came in to learn about food transformation and food poverty. Through discussion and understanding they created their own healthy menu on a budget. This was followed by a nice wee lunch enjoyed by all. One of the menus produced will be chosen as the winning menu and will be made for the children the next time they visit!
