Feedback from show 1 has been insane everyone 🤩❤️⭐️❣️ I know we’ll all be feeling exhausted today but remember we need to go out tonight and smash it even more 💃 Also remember lots of big smiles and game faces for the camera crew 😍 Also can we all please remember to take lots of photographs of all your lovely dancers in their costumes and I will upload them all onto the Facebook page after showtime!! Myself and Jen would just like to take this opportunity to wish all our students the best of luck for tonight We are completely overwhelmed with everyone’s hardwork dedication and passion on the build up to tonight’s and tomorrows show!! So let’s go out there and own that stage and show everyone how much this means to us all ❤️❤️❤️ Cannot wait to see you all shine on that stage Like the superstars that you are ⭐️ Dance with every part of love passion drive and enthusiasm that you have and always remember to have fun and enjoy every minute! IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR FINALE!!! Hey everyone!!! Slight change for finale ❤️❤️ All dancers have to stay in circus costumes and not change into VLSOD uniform It’s too chaotic and helpers won’t have time to get groups up and down to changing rooms! Hey everyone just to let you know that both dance shows for “We Run This” are now Completely sold out! Slight change to pupil arrival time I will need all dancers at the theatre for 6pm entering at the back of the theatre and making your way straight to designated changing areas! Doors will open on both nights at front of house at 6.30pm for audience to gain entry to theatre with show starting time Of 7pm sharp Any latecomers will be asked to wait outside theatre doors If performance has started and will be allowed access as soon as routines have finished! No access will be given if dancers are on stage!! So please be on time 👍⭐️💃 Seating cannot be reserved with bags and jackets and there will be stewards to help everyone get to their seats Seats are not allocated with numbers so if you want to make sure you are seated alongside family and friends please arrive on time to do so!!! Hey everyone Reminder for tonight’s dress rehearsal I need all dancers at East Kilbride village theatre for 5.30pm Rehearsal is on to 9.30pm But mini movers 💃 Mini dudes 💃and any of the younger students eg the younger boys and juniors should hopefully be done for 7.30/8.00pm All dancers should make sure they bring all costumes shoes and tights ❤️ And lots of energy 🤩 So excited to see everything coming together on stage and I’m sure the excitement will be through the roof 😁 Please make sure not to bring any snacks with nuts etc as we have some dancers who are highly allergic! Important costume information!!! All costumes will be given out next week in class before we break for the Easter holidays This will be accompanied by a costume list which will tell you Everything you will need for the show! Most is provided by us but it may just be things like tights etc that you need to pick up on your own! All dancers should now have the correct shoes for class as reminders were sent out for this in January!! There will be a costume bill given out with your list which will inform you how much you still have to pay after having paid your costume deposit of £20 In your costume bag there will be an envelope for this with remaining balance still to pay I would appreciate it if the money could be put in the envelope sealed and brought back after the Easter break It will make it much easier for us to monitor and process everyone who has paid!! And save any confusion in class Please note if your child needs help in getting ready at the shows/dress rehearsal there must be an adult present to do this!! We will have lots of backstage helpers but their job will be to get the kids on and off stage and monitor behaviour So which ever night you decide to watch the show there must be someone backstage to do this! Unless your child is able to do it by themselves Usually a good idea to pair up with some of the mums and help each other out This way everyone gets to see the show Please note if you are backstage there will be no access for you to see the show so arrangements must be made before hand Any questions come have a chat with me!!! Hi everyone It’s nearly that time of year again already!! Hope we’re all super excited and ready to practice extremely hard to get ready for SHOWTIME!!! Reminder about rehearsal dates First show rehearsal is Saturday 24th March @ parklands dance studio from 12.30-4.30pm Mini movers and mini dudes can leave at 2.30pm Next show rehearsal is Saturday 31st March @ parklands dance studio from 12.30-4.30pm again same rule applies for younger students Please note dancing will be off for the Easter break and will return week beginning Monday 16th April for our final teaching block 6 Dress rehearsal for show will be on Wednesday 18th April this is the first rehearsal at East Kilbride village theatre and will be from 5.30-9.30pm again younger students are able to leave around 7.30/8pm We will then be having our final show practice rehearsal on Saturday 21st April In parklands dance studio from 12.30-4.30pm Dance class will be on as normal on these weeks!! Show 1 - Thursday 26th April @ East Kilbride village theatre Show 2 - Friday 27th April @ East Kilbride village theatre Students need to be at theatre for 6.30pm with show starting @ 7.00pm sharp First ticket sale will be at this saturdays rehearsal the 24th March at the beginning of the rehearsal where we will have someone doing this so it doesn’t interfere with practice!!
