#myhousethismonth Day 3: Mantle/Shelf -this is currently one (if not my absolute!) favourite place in the house at the moment, the newly navy hallway. This is a shelf on my radiator cover and as always we’ve got some greenery (I adore the shadows that this particular plant casts on the walls!), a little tealight holder and our new addition - an antique gold/brass effect rabbit.....which truth be told is actually a book end (the other one is in the living room)!!!! Because the space is newly decorated, and therefore I like it pretty, I get really narky when people empty their pockets into this shelf the minute they walk through the door: keys; spare change; post; phones.....the list is endless! #myhousethismonth Day 2: Favourite corner. Now my fav corner would ordinarily be in my living room, and would most definitely feature my great grandmothers rocking chair that we had restored and re-covered, however, we moved it in December to fit the tree in and it hasn’t made it back yet?! 😬 so in its absence we have the corner of the bay window which represents so many things that I love! The huge bay window takes up almost an entire wall and floods the room with light and warmth. I love greenery and my hubby @n1ckp4lm3r loves ferns in particular so this plant makes me smile. I love the quote and what it means: just be happy! Just as my big girl is about to turn 14 *weeps*, my tiny one has started her journey (and obsession!) with gymnastics. So we have one dancer & one gymnast, you literally can’t walk around this house without almost being accidentally kicked by a high kick or tripped up by a random leg while they are doing the splits. The life of a personalised envelope insert.... . . . Measure paper to envelope, cut. Set up design, print. Align corners, fold. Set envelope angles & mark guillotine, cut. Round the corner to match envelope, punch. Check insert to envelope, perfect. Remove insert & prepare to fix in, spray. Place insert back into envelope, smooth down. AND REPEAT. . . .
