It's been like Christmas for the hedgehogs here the last few days. Thank you to whomever brought us the items from our Amazon wish list. We have received 200 x1ml syringes, 2 bottles of cleaning spray and a heat pad. There are no names on the items so I can't thank you personally but your donations are wonderful thank you. We couldn't do this without your support. Xxx

PLEASE if you say you are going to be here at a time or within a time frame please try to stick to that. We run this rescue from home as well as working, raising our daughter and everything else that comes with life. We don't have all day to sit around waiting hours for you to turn up. Yes i understand that people get delayed but please let us know, waiting around 2-3hrs ( after the time they said they would be here) for someone to turn up isn't on. Also if for any reason you are no longer coming again please let us know as we may have had to turn away another hedgehog in that time that we could of helped had we known.

PLEASE if you find a sick/injured/underweight hedgehog follow this basic advise. Pick it up Secure it In a box or suitable container Provide heat (hot water bottle/plastic bottle with warm water) Give it a towel or fleece to curl up in Call a rescue urgently for help and advise. Please don't wait 24/36/48 hours before you call thinking you can look after it as hedgehogs can deteriorate very quickly. I'm sick or people turning up with a hog they found yesterday/a couple of days ago that is now almost dead and they expect you to perform miracles. We can't and it's a life wasted, had we got the hog when you found it we would of had a chance to save it. 😔😢😡

There are lots of small autumn juvenile hedgehogs out there so please keep an eye out. We have been really busy with lots of small/sick hogs coming in ( 4 yesterday). Please If you find a hedgehog in need of help call a rescue, don't leave facebook messages or emails as it's likely to be too late by the time they are seen.
