My name is Robert Andrews and I am the principal of the "Robert Andrews Academy of Dance.
I started dancing at the age of 11 at a local dance school based in suffolk. When I turned 17, I went to study for three years at the "Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts" in London. It was during this time that I qualified as a teacher with the "Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance" in classical ballet, modern theatre and disco freestyle. I also obtained my ARAD status as an "Advanced Royal Academy of Dance" ballet certificate.
Upon leaving college I performed professionally within various pantomine productions across the UK performing as the infamous "Roland Rat" appearing on the BBC and ITV. Working with "Wayne Sleep" for the "English Youth Ballet", touring with the "Vienna Festival Ballet Company" nationally and finishing my performing career in the US working on cruise liners.
ACADEMY VALUES
Robert Andrews Academy of Dance has been offering dance classes and examinations for five years in ballet, tap and modern theatre.
We have had a 100% pass rate and are incredibly proud of all the childrens achievements.
At the academy we feel that it is incredibly important that the children have the opportunity and the experience of performing in productions and showcases. Previously we have performed at the Regent Theatre, The Corn Exchange in Ipswich and the Platform Theatre in Norwich.
