facebook.comA gift from my son last Christmas.......patiently waiting the opportunity to get built, provided by a wet and windy Monday afternoon on Mull during a recent holiday. 9 hours of graft, fun and satisfaction. It's a great model to build and looks good when finished and in true Caterham style does not have all of the correct bits being short on some and there are a few things left over at the end. True authenticity, well done LEGO!! Thanks Nick.
Last month we had three chaps, known as The Range Rollers, visit us. They hired three cars (2 SV's and one CSR) for their anti-clockwise trip round the NC500. They have been kind enough to provide us with a video they shot during their time with the cars. Click the video below to view or click here to read their TripAdvisor review: https://goo.gl/UDwEM3
A nice wee video showing off some of the delights of the NC500......but don't forget that Scotland does have other amazing areas to visit and all of it's roads are se7en heaven amongst stunning scenery. Enjoy the NC500, it is superb, but if you would like to know of a few other wee gems of things to see and do, roads to wander, then please just ask when you book with us............
Every Caterham has its own character. Not just different engines or chassis setups but little quirks that can make seemingly identical cars feel quite different. You can experience this for yourself with a group booking. Gather together your friends, family and work colleagues and experience the thrill of a Caterham convoy. It's the only way you'll find out which you like best!
Don't forget, we have a range of great gifts available for that Highland Caterham Hire fan in your life! Mugs, caps, keyrings and even a neck buff to keep you cozy. Take a look at our shop items below and please let us know if you have any questions.

Scotland is a magnificent place at any time of year, however, there is just something special about the amazing Autumn colours that can be seen as the colder weather arrives. If you wear enough layers you can still be plenty warm in a Caterham at this time of year. The combination of the cold crisp morning air and empty roads will make for a truly memorable experience. www.HighlandCaterhamHire.co.uk
We were browsing YouTube and found this fantastic clip from back in 2015 when a customer did a 500 mile trip across Scotland. Some really nice video footage here, particularly of them going down the Bealach na Ba.
Beat the rush and get your Spring bookings in now! Spring is a very busy time here at Highland Caterham Hire. Calm weather and longer days make this an ideal time to head north and do some exploring. If you are thinking of hiring a car from us next Spring, particularly at weekends, then do get your booking request in soon to avoid disappointment.
2 couples, both our CSR 200's and 4 days around the NC500! "Found this company through an advert on Facebook and how glad am I we did! Caterham+NC500 roads+Highland scenery=big smiles. We hired the CSR200 which is soooooo much fun to drive and driving this car through the Cattlepass at Applecross will make me smile for a very long time. We had the cars for four days and managed to go off route and just drive for the fun of it!! Boyd was easy to deal with and offered plenty of advice regarding places to stay/visit etc and also very informative in his safety talk, which whilst initially may seem daunting to some makes complete sense given that these cars are so different to drive compared with modern day cars and the nature of the roads. All in all one of best experiences ever-thanks Boyd" — Products shown: Gift Voucher for full day hire of a Caterham CSR.
Fantastic in-depth review of the utterly bonkers 620R from Petrol Ped. To put this car into context, it has 50% more power than our already very quick CSR200!
Our CSR is a serious bit of kit. With 200bhp from a Cosworth tuned 2.3l engine, it is a challenging yet highly rewarding car to drive. The CSR was recently out for a 5-day trip around the North West coast. Here is what Bryan had to say about his time with the car: "I wanted to have five days driving around the roads of North West Scotland in a Caterham, and also to hire a more powerful Caterham than I had previously experienced. So I chose to book the CSR 200, as opposed to one of the Roadsports. I was a little nervous when I got into the car, as it had quite a few miles on it. However, it was immediately apparent that these cars are beautifully maintained, which is important for safety. I drove around 700 miles over 5 days, and never had one issue with the car, despite the fact that it was raining heavily during much of the first day. That did mean I had to be very careful, however. But the car drove beautifully This brings me on to another point. I can see a few of the reviews below mention the safety briefing provided by the owner, Boyd. In my view, it is a big selling point that the owner of the hire business is so keen to ensure the safety of his customers. In the days when we all drive cars with ABS, traction control, stability control, power steering etc, it would be irresponsible of him to let people out without making sure they understand that the car will do exactly what you tell it to, even if what you tell it to is suicidally stupid. It shouldn't scare you, it should reassure you. Finally, I found the owner, Boyd, delightful, with real enthusiasm. I really enjoyed my week. When I returned the car, it had suffered some damage to the windscreen, and this was dealt with at a minimal cost and very transparently. No stress at all, which was a good end to a great experience. I look forward to returning soon. A couple of tips - bring a warm hat, and bring thin narrow shoes, driving shoes if you have them. These are serious sports cars, and the pedals are much closer together than you will be used to."
