Social Bite is a social business. It gives 100% of it's profits to charity, and a at least a quarter of the staff are formerly homeless Social business, fresh, local, healthy food, donating 100% of profits to social causes in Scotland & throughout the world.
Social Bite prepares hand made food every day, using fresh, healthy and local produce. No sell by dates. No preservatives. Just the best local ingredients, served up daily.
Social Bite plans to grow large enough to take on the big dogs such as Pret A Manger, Subway & Greggs - the exception being that it will be done with 100% social mission statement - not for greed, not for profit, for the homeless in Britain, and the poverty struck in third world countries.
But the main difference between social bite and the rest is that 100% (every single penny) of profit goes towards solving social problems. This is not a token gesture. This is not a PR spin. This is just a different kind of business. A business to help others. This is a Social Business.

We are totally blown away to say that in only 3 weeks since launching Sleep in the Park we have passed the £500,000 mark raised for our mission to collaboratively end homelessness in Scotland within 5 years. In this short time we have seen over 2,000 people sign up to sleep in the cold on December 9th. We have also had 28 companies offer homeless people job opportunities and 15 families open up their own doors and offer a spare room for a period of time to help someone find their feet! Last December, Olympic legend Sir Chris Hoy joined our sleep out with 300 business leaders in Charlotte Square. The event raised over £500,000 to enable us to build a village for the homeless. This year, we are aiming to bring 9,000 people together on December 9th for the World's largest ever sleep out. The ambition is to create a movement that will eradicate homelessness in Scotland for good. Amazing!!! In only 4 days we have had 1,000 people sign up to sleep in the cold for Sleep in the Park. This has resulted in over £265,000 being raised to end homelessness in Scotland already!
