We are a family-run business offering a warm welcome to the general public, with our authentic Spanish Tapas Restaurant, traditional Pub and cosy B&B. Situated in the village of Pity Me, less than 2 miles from the city of Durham, The Lambton Hounds is a 250-year-old, family run coaching inn. With a congenial atmosphere and inviting fireplace, it is a popular local with a traditional British pub atmosphere.

We run an authentic Spanish restaurant named İMUCHO GUSTO! and offer an authentic TAPAS MENU. Our experiences of growing up in Spain, amongst Spanish culture and traditions, have led us to create this menu. In Spain, dining is a sociable experience. A chance for friends, family and loved ones to come together, catch up and create new memories. Tapas allows this to happen as the dishes come at different intervals so you can appreciate the food and the conversation and thoroughly enjoy your meal the Spanish way. This is our aim. With a wide selection of both keg and cask-conditioned beers on offer, comfortable en-suite accommodation, delicious homemade food in our restaurant, a private beer garden for summer use, a cosy snug, a sporty bar and now with a large Wi-Fi area, The Lambton Hounds can provide an excellent base to explore the historic city of Durham.

Many of the North East's most famous sights and tourist attractions are very close by including: The Durham Cathedral heritage site, historic Durham City, the Baltic Art gallery & Milennium Bridge and Beamish museum.

The Northumberland countryside is right on our doorstep with many routes and trails most suited for hikers, cyclists or even walking and cycling clubs. Don't leave your four legged friend at home, bring them too because we are a dog friendly pub!

The Lambton Hounds has its very own star attraction, which is a feature of our lounge bar. The bar is taken from the cocktail bar of RMS Olympic, sister ship of the Titanic.
