Some of you may already know of the fundraising campaign launched by Visit Dunfermline to help the wonderful business on the Maygate, Little Shop of Heroes. We see firsthand how hard these guys work and have built up a flourishing business with a diehard customer base. The bad weather however meant they had no option but to cancel the successful event they created Dunfermline Comic-Con, however many of the bills and charity commitments still have to be honoured. The beautiful Freya celebrated her 18th birthday today. With the snow scuppering her original plans thanks to Debbie D for staying back today so Freya could enjoy a Kerastase treatment and blow dry, along with a few glasses of fizz with her lovely mum Julie who is Brian’s client. Nothing makes us prouder than to see one of our Trainee Stylists coming though their training and emerging as a talented and up and coming stylist. Ellie is in the final stages of her training and her styling skills are becoming requested frequently by many clients. This blow dry was done at the end of Ellie’s day on Saturday on Brian’s daughter Millie who was off on a night out. Soft, cascading waves which lasted all night. Beautiful job Ellie.

Zoe had been growing out her red colour for almost 6 months and after an in-depth consultation, pre-lightening and the expertise of our own mixologist Debbie this multi tonal vivid sapphire was created. Wednesday evenings are always training night at Hope. Last night it was colour training taken by Debbie D and it was bleeds, bleach and balayage training. Mika is a level 2 Fife College student who has a placement at the salon and is so keen she asked if she could also come into our training night too. We of course said yes and Mika created this amazing pink bleed, so impressive. Our junior stylist Sophie created a multi tonal bronde colour on Kylie and also finished the styling with a big, round brush blow dry no easy task on such thick hair. Well done to all our trainees last night.

Brian was invited along to Fife College today where he did a demo on different types of graduation for the hairdressing lecturers from both Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy campuses. Our stylist Danielle’s client had been in last week for a consultation and patch test. On her appointment today Danielle transformed her virgin, flat toned light brown hair to a deep, intense chocolate shade with caramel kissed ends.
