BEYOND THE BARBELL What does training mean to you? I first started my fitness journey at 15 after a serious leg break put me in a wheelchair for 3 months and then on crutches for nearly a year. I had the standard "you'll never run again" chat from numerous doctors and I remember crying for hours on end. It was one of the worst and best things to ever happen to me. I found, not only a passion for training but solace. It was a chance to make myself better - beyond what people said I could be. I wanted to be as big, strong and fast as I possibly could and it taught me that with hard work everything I wanted to achieve, I could. 6 years on and I still want to be the best athlete I can be but each time I train, it's a little reminder of why I started and what it has helped me to achieve in all aspects of my life. Every tough session makes you mentally stronger. I feel honoured that so many people now come to me for help and advice and truly humbled by the influence I have had on my friends and clients lives. For me training is all I know - my life without it would be normal. And who the fuck wants to be normal? #FRIXFIT.

As much as I love training alone... Drafting in this lad tonight for a 9pm conditioning session was a good call 👍🏼 After a 14 hour day - it's safe to say I needed someone to push me 👊🏼 1οΈβ£ (20kg weighted vest on) 10 x Bulgarian split squats each leg 10 x jump squats 10 x burpees (5 rounds) 2οΈβ£ Max effort 10s deadmill 20s rest x 5 3οΈβ£ 100m sprint x 5 1:1 #TEAMFRIXFIT.
