Kamm-tailed E-Type.... I've seen pictures of this car before, but with no details. It was known as "Gilda". It's a 1965 car with chassis number 1E20474 and appears to be undergoing restoration. Apparently the modsports mods were carried out to a very high standard. Memories anyone?

Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens.... Sorry chaps, just a racing car. Nice though - Vixen VB4 raced in the late '60s & early '70s in Luxembourg. It ran Magna Mark Is on the front and Mark IIs on the rear - same as Geoff Friswell's car.

And today's contender for the widest set of Magna wheels... John Chatham's ex-works Healey 3000 "DD300", which has probably raced and won more than any other example of the marque.
When is a Magna not a Magna? There's a set of wheels being advertised on a popular auction site at the moment which are described as: SUPER RARE - JA Pearce Magna Wheels - Mini Alloy Wheels - Cooper S Innocenti JAP They're definitely not Magnas and I'm fairly certain they were made by Brown & Geeson in the early '70s, probably "inspired" by the Magna Mark II wheel. Brown & Geeson (B+G) were best known for selling wheel trims back then, but they are still thriving. I only mention it because none of us wants a "Lola" moment (where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola), if you know what I mean!

This is the car that John Pearce purchased at the end of 1965 and from which the engine was installed in the Cooper T73 chassis for the 1966 J.A.Pearce Cooper-Ferrari.
