COMING IN SEPTEMBER 2018: ZERO TO HERO (FULL TIME) This is a full time intensive 7-month course that covers all of the modules for the EASA Part66 B1.1 and B2 Licence. Students will study all of the modules in a logical order, back to back. There is a 2 or 3 week break in the middle of the course, depending on the time of year, to allow students the chance to relax and spend some time with family, before returning to finish the course. The course fee includes all tuition in ICAT’s modern facility, study materials, revision aids, Exams, refreshments and lunch on lesson days. Students can also add EWIS / Human Factors / Fuel Tank Safety certification and CAP 741 Basic Skills courses at a discount, to the end of their course if they require it. Due to the intensity of this course, it is recommended that students have at least 3 years of aviation experience and meet a minimum academic requirement. Cardiff is a large University City and there are many short term lets and rentals available for students and professionals. On the 12th of July 2017, 19 students who have been studying for a BSc(Hons) Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, graduated from the University of South Wales(USW). Almost all of the students were awarded a First Class Honours Degree. This course has been run for the past 12 years by CAVC through ICAT Ltd and in collaboration with the USW. The course allows the students to study for a BSc(Hons) Degree, but also gain the module certificates needed to become a Licenced Aircraft Engineer. The students study through distance learning, but attend the ICAT for revision tutorials and exams. They are given all the support and study materials that they need by ICAT Ltd, who sees them through the 13 EASA study modules over 4 years. They then move onto the USW 2-year stage to study 3 engineering management modules and complete a work based learning project, before being awarded their degree. This course is not easy and those that complete it, prove they have intellect, passion and a great work ethic. ICAT Ltd congratulates all of the Graduates for finishing the course and are proud to have worked with them to reach their goal. We wish them all the best for the future.
