BA (Hons) Degree in Make-up Artistry •  
I have worked in the Beauty Industry since 2005 having studied Beauty Therapy at Nelson and Colne College.
Having achieved NVQ level 3 I began working in beauty salons across East Lancashire before beginning  work for the award winning ‘The Woodland Spa’ in 2007.

In 2011 I then began studying for a degree in Make-up Artistry: Special Effects at Salford University. This course included Special Effects, Body Art, Bridal and High Fashion. Also, creating the design and application of Prosthetics along with in depth knowledge of Advanced Cosmetic Industries and Makeup Artistry. I graduated in 2014 with a BA (Hons) Make-up Artistry: Special Effects.

I spent the summer of 2013 in Ibiza working as a Body Artist at the famous “Kiss My Fairy” creating inventive body art designs for people attending the world famous “Zoo Project”.

In  April 2014 I traveled to Tokyo and received training from the top Japanese Make-up Artist , Kia @ Be-Staff Makeup Universal. This developed my knowledge and opened my eyes to a new way of Asian inspired makeup artistry. It is these experiences that I believe set me apart from the competition in delivering a look unique to each person.

In October 2014 I began working for MAC Cosmetics as a Retail Artist. I became a certified MAC artist after completing “makeup in 30” and “makeup in 60”. In June 2015 I was selected with one other member of staff from a team of 100 as a Trend Specialist.  This involved creating new looks with the seasonal Trends using old/new products and promoting staff and customers to get onboard and embrace the trend.

In February 2016 I left MAC so I could focus on my freelance work and give as much time as possible to the job that I love.

I have 5 years experience in makeup artistry, numerous qualifications and am forever evolving and keeping on trend with changes in the industry. I am currently enrolled on a Microblading course and will be offering this service in the coming months.
