We are celebrating another achievement here at our Forest School.... our Bronze Award for the Green Tree Schools Award! We are so proud and continually focussed on achieving more to celebrate and develop what we do well. We only have another few points to gain our silver award! We’ll keel you updated!! We are celebrating our success at becoming a recognised Forest School Provider, the first one in Lancashire. At Giant Leap, Forest School is a huge part of everyday life. Achieving the accreditation (FSA) just re-enforces our strong beliefs in learning outdoors and giving all our children opportunities to learn in a self-directed way that suits each individual. Thus, we have organised a professional Forest School Taster day to share our belief in enabling outdoor education for all. The taster day will take place on Tuesday 17th April and all professionals, teachers, Early Years managers and Practitioners are welcome to attend. Kind regards, Stacey & Karen
The children from Super Stars have had a lovely day in their Forest School session today. Lots of different things going on around the site. Some children enjoyed exploring for bugs, we founds lots of worms and spoke about the different sizes of them. We have also been stick collecting and measuring them up to ourselves. Some of the children have been doing lots of physical things today, balancing along the rope and threading string. We all got covered in mud all part of the fun!! :)

Make a garden in a tub and use it for pretend play. Such a great idea!
We have had a change or date to next Months stay and play session. The session will now be on the morning of SATURDAY 31ST MARCH.
