PRTC is an independent training company offering a wide range of refrigeration, air conditioning/heat pump, design and electrical courses. With a 'practical' emphasis to all our courses our comprehensive range of refrigeration and air conditioning modules have recently been enhanced by the addition of a number of electrical courses including the popular '17th Edition', Inspection and Testing, Portable Appliance Testing and NVQ/QCF Electrical qualifications. Recognising the increasing importance of electrical knowledge within the refrigeration and air conditioning industry but also suitable for practising or trainee electricians (any pre-requirements are shown on the course synopses)these are run as both day and evening classes and full details can be found opposite and on our calendar.

6187 Level 3 for Adults - engineers who don't already hold an NVQ qualification or equivalent but may need one (for CSCS cards etc) we are offering a short, intense course leading to the City and Guilds 6187 level 3 qualification. The last registration date is 30th June 2017 and then this qualification is being withdrawn by City and Guilds so please Act Now! For those that require their F Gas qualification but aren't experienced in refrigeration, we offer a 5 day Service and Maintenance course which covers the basics along with the City & Guilds 2079 award. Are you interested in NVQS or taking on an apprentice? Funding for the 6187 NVQ Diplomas is changing later this year to make way for the Trailblazer qualification (6090). New 6187 groups are being enrolled up to the end of April 2017 so you don't need to miss out. There are level 2 and level 3 places available at present but these are filling up fast!
