I was down in Bexhill-On-Sea on Monday, May 29th, 2019.......and took the opportunity to find the site of Harewood School in Collington Avenue.....It is now a big housing estate.....along with our neighbouring school Normandale......The address is Harewood Close and Normandale.....so the name still exists......as does the old wall at the front of the school (see pictures)......Bexhill Museum also provided some extra information......with an excellent obituary in the local paper of our old headmaster M.J.C.Phillips........ X

So sorry to read the obituary in the paper today of racehorse trainer Patrick Haslam......who saddled close to 1,000 winners on the Flat and over the jumps.........He died at the age of 69.......and was a pupil and boarder at Harewood School.... the same time as me..... in 1958-60.....We both shared a love of boxing in those days.....and fought each other in the school competition .......
