Description
The Horse & Jockey is a quiet village pub where you can relax and enjoy great food, a wide selection of drinks, and the company of others. Enjoy your drinks in the comfort of the bar and sample a selection of snacks from the bar menu.
In the eventuality that the English weather holds you can escape from the bar to the garden and decking to enjoy the sun followed by an evening under the stars wrapped against the cold in one of our fleece-blankets.
In the kitchen head chef Darron prepares fresh produce, sourced locally whenever possible and available seven days a week. Food is served in the snug and the dining room – and outside – by Sarah and her team.
Renovated early in 2007, the Horse & Jockey has evolved but remains central to the village community. Darron and Sarah hope that you will call in and help shape the continuing history of this country pub.

Hello Everyone! Just a note to say there is a ROAD CLOSURE from 4-7th September (next week) from the bottom to the top of Church Hill Ravensden. This is the main route leading to the pub from Oldways Road. Please be aware this is from 10am - 15:30pm. An alternative route - If coming from Mowsbury Golf Course, continue through Ravensden crossroads up to the water tower (B660). Take a right at Shrubbery Lane, turn right again at the end of the road & follow Ravensden Road until you get to the Horse & Jockey.
