Bit of shameless self promotion at Martin’s Bootcamp session 😅😅😅

What a great day with 22 Goalkeepers in the sunshine - never thought I’d say that at Feb Half Term!! With the youngsters this morning we briefly looked at the ready position, ‘W’, Scoop and Cup techniques and how execute them and when to use them. In the afternoon with the older keepers we looked at position and shot stopping and as ever finished with everyone favourite... keeper wars! Thank you to everyone who came along, first I hope you enjoyed it and second, I hope you all picked up something new to take away and put in the your games over the next few weeks I must also say a huge thank you to Students Sam and Mitchell from Barrow Sixth Form College Higher Sports Leaders Course who helped out all day today as part of their volunteer hours. 👐⚽️

Tonight’s fun practice to encourage use of the diving technique we have looked at over the last couple of sessions. 👐⚽️

Another good session tonight at Furness College with the keepers on the Jan/Feb 6 week block. Last week we look at diving technique and this week we were able to put it in to some fun shot stopping games where we encouraged shooting in the bottom corners. The next 6 week block will begin Monday 19th February through 26th March 2018 and bookings will be taken from the end of this week 👍⚽️

👐⚽️ TONIGHTS SESSION ⚽️👐 Tonight the weather seemed to be on our side for a change with little wind and milder temperatures we were able to look at balance and control of our body as we moved laterally. Well done to all keepers tonight as they applied themselves really well, listened and learned 🙌
