I have been struggling to write this post because nobody likes to 'give up'. Christmas and New Years is always a time of review in reflection in most peoples lives which is no different to me in my family and business. While I look back at the last year I am proud of what I have accomplished and am grateful to all of the families and couples who have trusted me with their weddings, families and newborns. But in also looking back I have also seen my failings, how overwhelmed I have become by raising a large young family, and how much I have missed out on as I spend countless hours hours at a computer answering messages, editing galleries and all the rest that goes along with being a self employed person. Many of these hours are done in between the kids homework assignments, while waiting for the water to boil making dinner, finding any spare second I can while everything 'else' has to wait for me to 'answer this message/save this in photoshop/upload this/export this file/finish this edit'. So for the betterment of family and my personal health I have decided to take a step back from business. I am not selling anything and my studio is waiting for me at the back door when the twins start school but for now, while my family is young, I need to spend my day to day moments being present and making them my priority. Thank you for the last 3 years and I can't wait for the day when I'll be back :-).....and I WILL be back!

Moved out of the studio and into the kitchen for a quick newborn mini session in front of the fire...with Zoe on my back haha. I am smiling ear to ear right now! It was a brilliant day in Rosstrevor at the most perfect autumn wedding (photos tomorrow!) followed by coming home to this little gem in post for my Christmas babies :-) then I got to go to a GB tea party with my girls this evening...bliss :-)

👍 or 👎? I've been waiting on a new backdrop this little while and it finally arrived! Should we include it in tomorrows last day of mini sessions?! Forgive my little models...even photographers kids don't pose on que.
