***FIRST AID COURSES*** The Committee have arranged the following first aid courses: Emergency First Aid at Work - This is a 6 hour course that will provide you with the skills and knowledge required for Emergency First Aiders to render necessary First Aid in an emergency situation, including use of an AED (automated external defibrillator). This is a recognised qualification in the workplace and you will gain a certificate valid for 3 years. Date: Saturday 30 September 2017 & Saturday 14 October 2017* Time: 09:00 – 16:00 Price: £27.50 per person Venue: Hay Barn at The George Inn, Leeds, ME17 1RN (Clubhouse unavailable on Saturday’s due to fixtures) *courses must be fully booked in order to go ahead Note: There is an option to just attend a netball injury bolt-on. This is a 4 hour course that covers head injuries, joint, muscle/tendon and ligament issues, basic taping and strapping along with cold and ice treatment. To get the full benefit from this, it is strongly recommended that you complete the EFAW course beforehand as it will not be covering recovery, CPR, health and safety etc. The dates for this course will be made available once the EFAW course(s) have been completed and costs £20.00 per person. Each session has 12 places available. If the demand is high, we will arrange more dates in October. If you don’t have any first aid trained team members, we recommend that you book one of your regular players on to both of these. Payment and forms need to be returned to the League Secretary by Tuesday 26th September for the 30th September course and Tuesday 10th October for the 14th October course.
