It has been a great few weeks with new cadets arriving and some great opportunities. Approximately 30 cadets lined the entrance to Holyrood and saluted Princess Anne when she arrived on the 19th May. Then became part of the parade for the Royal Salute. 2 cadets from Auchtermuchty were present. We have also been shooting at Boulmer, Barry Buddon and Lossiemouth. On Sunday we were helping raise money and our profile along at Duffus Park, Cupar. Were they were looking to get defibrillators to be installed in Cupar.

As the squadron met for the last time in 2016 last night, and the year for everyone is coming to an end, we thought we'd look back over what was a big year for the ATC. The Air Training Corps celebrated its 75th anniversary and we joined celebrations to mark her Majesty the Queen's 90th Birthday. Along with the big events we also marked all the successes of our cadets, from marksmanships and first aid, to regional sporting representations, camps, promotions, method of instruction courses and many more. We hope you've enjoyed watching our progress. All that's left to say this year is, look out 2017, it's the 75th anniversary of 2163 squadron! To mark this occasion there will be a special celebration during the year and keep an eye on this page as we will be posting snapshots from the past. Until then Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all at the squadron. We're excited to see what 2017 has in store for everyone.

Another busy few days for us at the squadron. (I know you're thinking where do we find the time!) A packed weekend of First Aid training means CI Noble is the newest member of the squadron to become qualified in activity first aid. Last night also saw us joining with Cupar and St Andrews squadrons to go climbing in the EICA at Ratho in Edinburgh. Getting more cadets started on working towards the national qualifications for indoor climbing. Keep going everyone, it's almost time for Christmas break ❄🎄🎄🎄❄🎉🎁🎁
