facebook.comOn Sunday 24th September, for the first time, our Hope and Remembrance Service was held at St John’s Church, Whitwick. Led by Reverend Liz Angell, it is our indoor service of remembrance for those who have gone before us. Some 50 people attended the service, which was augmented by Concordia’s excellent singing, who chose two songs; ‘Loch Lomond’, which told of life’s journey and the beautiful ‘Agnes Dei’. A candle was lit for those being remembered and their names are being inscribed onto a scroll, which will be displayed in the Church until Christmas. #whitwick #concordia #hope #remembrance

Coalville Male Voice Choir entertained a capacity audience at Ibstock Wesleyan Reform Church on Saturday 16th September. As part of the Church’s Harvest Festival, the mixed programme had the audience enthralled, amused and enchanted by turns. A rousing finale of Rule Britannia and Pomp & Circumstance had the audience singing along and working up an appetite for the delicious refreshments served after the Concert. Our thanks to the Coalville Male Voice Choir for their fine performance, to everyone who supported this wonderful concert and to the Wesleyan Reform Church for their generous donation in support of Hospice Hope.
