SHARING CHRIST IN THE MARKETPLACE Adventist Laymen's Services and Industries (ASI) is an organization of Seventh-day Adventist church members who work in the private sector in business, self-employed, executives and self-supporting ministries.

The uniqueness of the organization is twofold:

Firstly we recognize that our time, talents, treasures and the body temple are recognized as belonging to God. We are stewards of these possessions. Accordingly, we believe that our vocations can and should be a ministry to aid in the advancement of the great gospel commission (Luke 19:13; Testimonies for the Church, vol. 4, p. 469).

Secondly we are committed to supporting the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its various outreach programs which include health, education, evangelism, community services, family concerns and special projects.

ASI has thousands of members around the world, men and women from nearly every walk of life. They represent all the diversity that is found within the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The ASI philosophy promotes a Christ-centered lifestyle, manifested by a commitment to be in daily partnership with God. Members seek to live out God’s love in their own lives and share that love with the millions of people they encounter in their business and professional activities each year.

ASI Europe is an independent ministry that supports the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church; however, it is not part of, affiliated with, or supported by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists®, or any affiliates known as the Seventh-day Adventist® Church.  Thus, any content or opinions expressed, implied or included in or with the statements, products or services offered by ASI Europe, are solely those of ASI Europe, and not those of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church.

The Board of ASI Europe met last weekend in Athens for a board meeting. Country delegates from Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Scandinavia, Spain, Switzerland and the UK were represented. On Sabbath morning the group met for a devotional on the Mars Hill where Paulus gave his famous speech about true worshipping, the judgment and resurrection from death after he found in Athens an altar with the inscription "TO THE UNKNOWN GOD". 24 “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Act 17 (NKJV)
