Blatobran
Description
Creative center Blatobran and Gallery
The Blatobran creative center was founded in 2007 as an open platform for artists and designers to network in their use of predominantly ceramics, but also of other media of artistic expression.
The artists grouped under the Blatobran banner share the common mission of educating the public and building awareness of the importance of art and of design in contemporary society. They share the conviction that this can be done through exhibitions, presentations, lectures and other forms of artistic expression.
Blatobran supports creativity and advancement of aesthetic criteria in society by making the creative processes, materials and techniques accessible to the widest public and by doing so in a way which engages the observer as an active participant in artistic expression.
Blatobran recently opened its own gallery in Belgrade, located at 38 Gospodar Jevremova St. with the objective of forming a center for continuous exchange of new ideas and promotion of art and creative design. Working hours - every day from 11 am - 9 pm (March-Nov), during winter from 11.00 am - 8 p.m. (Nov-March)
From artistic installations to socially engaging design, Blatobran strives towards further expansion of creative influence into all pores of social life, providing for its members and for its audiences a supportive space for experimentation and innovation through the use of new techniques, materials and forms of expression.

Arts/Industry Applications - John Michael Kohler Art Center
https://goo.gl/8Te5bV Arts/Industry has been doing something remarkable for over 40 years—connecting artists with the resources, technology, and materials of Kohler Co., and providing a place to explore new ideas, processes, and perspectives. Artists from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Each year up to 16 artists are selected for residencies in the Pottery and/or Foundry areas of the factory through a competitive jury process. No experience with clay or cast metal is required, just an interest in pursuing a new body of work and being open to new ideas. Residencies run from two to six months in length.
