Michael Herr and Georg Krebelder rode 3250km from Hamburg (DE) via Denmark, Sweden and Finnland to reach the Red Tree after 6 6 days on the road!

The Frenchman "Pygoliae" arrived at the Red Tree yesterday after a 4800km cycling trip from Lyon - France! After a good rest and a shower, he headed off again on his comfortable bike ... this time heading South through Finnland and Sweden :-)

Welcome to the Mehamn/Gamvik tourist information! The summer 2016 season has started today! Come on in and have a chat and get the info or advice you need for your stay on Nordkyn. We have a special section on the hiking trails to Kinnarodden (also outside the office for those times when the office is closed). Opening times (10.06-27.08.2016): Mon- Fri: 10:00-12:00 / 14:00-16:00 Saturdays: 10:00-12:00 Sundays: Closed

Tina's Home Made Jams are available again :-) Currently on stock, we have her slightly spicy "Arctic Fire" (Lingonberry with chilli), Blueberry Jam (handpicked berries from 71 degrees North), and a new addition to the family ... Cloudberry Jam (known as gold from the tundra, you only find this berry in the Arctic).

Mehamn/Gamvik Tourist Information Office 2016! The tourist information office will once again be located at the Red Tree Guesthouse (Reception/Shop). Season: 10.06.2016 until 27.08.2016 Our opening hours will be as follows: Mon. - Fri. 10:00-12:00 / 14:00-16:00 Saturdays 10:00-12:00 We look forward to seeing all the familiar faces as well as meeting new visitors to this fantastic region :-)
