Fishing season is in full swing in Henningsvær! Today, 12th March, we got a close up view of what it is like to be a fisherman! We witnessed a fair catch of cod from this rich sea and very happy fishermen. The skies opened, the sun greeted us and we could enjoy the stunning landscape surrounding this busy fishing village as well as the impressive sea eagles!

Two contrasting days here in Lofoten. On 25th February we experienced arctic snowstorms and fog on the way to Trollfjord. After the storm clouds disappeared, northern lights painted the night sky. On the 26th February we welcomed the blinding sun and blue skies on a safari from Risvær to Trollfjord and Henningsvær. Quite an eventful weekend here, bracing the weather, rescuing a drone, sea spray and not to forget the majestic eagles! Photos by Francesca Bajada & Anthony Mayer
