The activities of the 27th May marked the GRAND FINALE of the week long program. This was the day for the conclusion of the quiz and debate segments and presentation of awards and gifts to the winning Schools. It's remarkable to note that apart from the power of your mind seminar and outreaches already organized in the 28 secondary schools in Abakaliki metropolis, and the community service, the church also organized the first ever state wide skating competition which was designed both as a talent hunt and SOUL WINNING MECHANISM. The participating schools and the general public when interviewed confessed that the activities of the SAVE-A-TEEN Campaign as organized by Christ Embassy Abakaliki 1 has indeed given a new concept and definition to the Children's Day Celebration. Pastor Eunice Oyeyemi while presenting the awards to the winners who included the skaters, the quiz and debating schools charged all the participants to go with mindset of a winner for none was a loser. She also charged them to go out there and make positive contributions to the society for Christ in them is the hope of glory. The presentation of gifts and awards marked the high point of the events as ovations and exhilaration pervaded the air. They were even more fulfilled as all the teachers, the participating students numbering over a thousand were very happy to receive the latest book by Rev. Dr Chris Oyakhilome, The Power of your mind. INDEED TEENAGERS IN EBONYI STATE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

As part of marking this year's children's day celebration, Christ Embassy Abakaliki 1 here in Ebonyi state organised a debate and quiz competition. Twenty-three schools were represented with over a thousand pupils in attendance. During the debate session, schools supported for or against the motion "The use of internet enabled devices by students will promote learning and not really a distraction" while the quiz questions came from various aspects ranging from general knowledge to current affairs and basic science. Pastor Eunice Oyeyemi; Pastor of Christ Embassy Abakaliki admonished the teenagers to put God first in everything they do and also to never forget the place of prayer in their lives. She prayed and delared words of excellence and prosperity over each teenager in attendance. Over 600 teenagers gave their hearts to Christ and over 2000 copies of Teevo was given to all that were in attendance.
