Better Future Factory (BFF) - A new world asks for new solutions. We are the frontrunners of a new generation that not only thinks different, but does it different. The time to create a better future is right now. If we combine business with creative engineering and design - we can serve actual needs and solve real world problems.
BFF, founded by 5 industrial design engineers from the Delft University of Technology, works on several projects like the PolyMore project where local entrepreneurs in Angola are empowered with a 'business in a box' to recycle plastic PET bottles into useful construction materials, fermentation of bread waste into useful gasses and an arctic weather station which is currently on the North Pole collecting data about ice drift and temperature for research on climate change. Clients of BFF include Unilever, Accenture, Nationale Nederlanden and Heerema.
In their flagship project 'Perpetual Plastic' BFF shows that we can create significant value out of plastic waste - using plastic’s superior properties as a resource for 3D printed products. BFF’s “Perpetual Plastic Project” (PPP) - an interactive plastic waste recycling installation for events & festivals - embodies the opportunity plastic recycling entails. PPP uses plastic cups as resource to make 3D printed products. The embodiment of the PPP on an industrial scale is the world's first alternative for virgin plastic filament, the launch of a line of recycled filaments for FDM 3D printing early 2015.
