Oi gente! Not long to go now until our Carnavália party in the Sugar Club this Saturday. We had our friend Nivnivrin Illustration make us some beautiful illustrations of things that remind us of Brazil and Carnaval! They'll be hung up around the venue on Saturday!

A little background on our special guests for Carnavália next week! Morro 16 (Hill 16) was ‘born’ on the terrace of Croke Park during the Ireland vs. Brazil soccer friendly in 2008. Their live percussive performances of ‘samba batucada’ are infectious, bringing the energy, rhythm and vibe of Rio carnival to the streets of Ireland. We're very excited to be screening one of our favourite Brazilian documentaries as part of our Carnavália party with ChoiceCuts and Disco É Cultura in The Sugar Club on Sat Feb 4th. Tropicália is a documentary of the history of one of Brazil’s most iconic cultural movements. Featuring iconic artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Os Mutantes and Tom Zé! The screening starts at 8pm, afterwards we will be going into full party mode with Morro 16 (live samba band), carnival dancers, and Brazilian DJs!
