Well with all the emphasis on our little village this week and all its amazing developments think its time to finally tell the YOUTH PROJECTS little bit of good news... so about a month ago a group of local young lads who joined with our other YOUTH PROJECT IN NEWTOWN were nominated(along with a group of girls from Newtown) for a wicklow GARDA YOUTH AWARD... well they have only gone and WON ONE.... WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT!!!. Last year we had one of our volunteers Kyle Murray win the 1st ever wicklow Garda Award and now this year we have a group of young people from newtown and kilcoole chosen for this award. We at kilcoole youth cafe and youth project could not be prouder of these young people. They will attend a ceremony in feb where they will recieve their award.. These are local young people who have volunteered their time to do many different things over nearly 8 years, from helping with the senior citizens annual bagpack to planning and delivering a week of activities related to mental health. They deserve the recognition forall of their hard work.. sometimes we forget about the talents skills and abilities young people have. Huge congrats to this group names will be released in coming weeks. X thank you from all the staff and volunteers at Kilcoole youth project and YOUTH cafe xx

Happy new year to everyone... huge huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and those who have helped us over the past year..without you we could not do anything!! Please know how valued you are!!.. its been a great year... heres to 2017 for it to be bigger and better.. kilcoole youth club will also celebrate its 10th birthday so thinking caps are on for celebration ideas xxx happy new year to all of the young people who take part in kilcoole Youth Project.. the adventure groups.. the youth cafe.. the youth club.. All the different areas of the youth cafe. XXxx see you soon xxx
