PIC OF THE DAY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN spotting frog spawn all over the county this week. The Common Frog in this area of North Kerry are now short of water pools to Spawn . Spawning usually begins in Ireland once the weather starts to get a bit milder. The common frog, which is the only species we have in Ireland, is actually considered a “threatened species” . 100's of frogs were left with out ponds due too the lack of rain in the past months. Many frog spawn in this North Kerry area were left to rot on the damp ground as most of the ponds in the area were empty .
