facebook.comCiara Hickey is the Cork City International Sports athlete for the month of February. She was recognised for her achievements in finishing 2nd in the All Ireland Senior Indoor Pole Vault championships with a new pb of 3.40m and for breaking the Munster U19 record.
Final day of the All Ireland Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone... Orla Coffey won the girls U17 pole vault title with a clearance of 3.00m and Anna Ryan was 2nd with a clearance of 2.85m Emma Coffey won the girls U18 title with a clearance of 3.05m Ciara Hickey won the girls U19 title with a new championship record of 3.35m putting 25cm onto the old mark. Clodagh Walsh was 2nd with a clearance of of 2.90m This brings a close to the indoor season
All Ireland Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone Adam O Dwyer won the boys U17 pole vault title with a new championship best performance of 3.71m which is also a new pb for Adam. Dillon Ryan won the the boys U16 pole vault title with a clearance of 2.50m Brian Lynch claimed the boys U18 pole vault title with a clearance of 3.20m which equals his pb. Ben O Dywer was 5th in the u19 competition with a new pb of 2.40m and Aron Malik was 4th in the boys U18 competition with a clearance of 2.60m
This week end's athletics in Nenagh has been cancelled and postponed until next weekend.

All Ireland Indoor Senior Championships.... Ciara Hickey was 2nd in the Women's Pole Vault competition with a new pb of 3.40m and Emma Coffey was 3rd with 3.20m and Clodagh Walsh was 4th also on 3.20m only losing out on count back. Orla Coffey was7th with a new pb of 3.05..... Una Samuels cleared 2.75m
