We're organising sculpting and stone carving workshops for the summer. The workshops will be held over 3 or 2 days, so you have the choice of Fri-Sun or just Sat/Sun. The dates are 23,24,25 June and 21,22,23 July. The workshops are suitable for beginners or those with some experience and are really individually tailored, so if you're interested in lettering, abstract sculpture or figurative pieces - the choice is yours, and everything is possible over time. We use Kilkenny Limestone, Portland Limestone, local sandstone and various types of slate It's €300 for the 3 days and €200 for the 2 days. This includes all materials, use of tools, tuition and all you can eat. Group discounts are available. The workshops are non-residential but we do have plenty of space for camping and there are also a couple of B&Bs in the village and a good choice of pubs and restaurants for evening meals; all within walking distance. Please give a ring if you want any more information, you'll either get Liz or Philip 087 2339915

It's a bit like Prince Charming trying to find the foot that fits, they're queueing up to see who fits in the throne in the Inch Field. And the Jester hitched a lift from Tipp Co Co to get across the water. Thanks Mick!

A few new fingers here, a new elbow there, a hair-do, some new drapery and a gentle face wash with a toothbrush (Philip's, he didn't mind) and the Angels are back to their beautiful selves. The original workmanship was really lovely, you can see every stroke of the chisel - a real labour of love. The Angels have now taken up residence in The Steeples Bookshop and Cafe in Nenagh (where, by the way, the coffee is really good).
