After participating in a trial classes and receiving positive feedback from the children Appleseeds are delighted to announce we will have a new class as part of our extra curricular activities - Krav Maga(self defense) every Tuesday junior class(junior infants -1st class) 4-5pm and senior class 5-6pm (2nd-6th class )therefore dance and drama classes will now take place on Wednesday instead please ensure children are dressed appropriately and have runners on for this class. Happy 1st of December everyone! The countdown has officially begun and so have the Christmas festivities in afterschool! These beautiful Christmas keepsakes will be a lovely addition to the decorations this year! 🎅

Using our large playing cards the children explored a new way to build and create! This is the tallest tower built so far. Great job Kingsley! Does anyone have the patience and skills to go higher? 🤔🃏 the challenge has been set!

Following the statement of school closures by the department of education, to ensure the safety of children and staff appleseeds afterschool will remain closed until safety checks of the building are completed. These checks are scheduled for tomorrow. Pending all safety requirements being met, services will resume on Wednesday 18th of October. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Recently the afterschool celebrated chinese new year! Embracing some of the Chinese traditional celebrations was a huge success and gave everyone the chance to experience a different culture and learn something new. By decorating our room with lanterns,wind chimes and other crafts ensured everyone's participation. Chopsticks during mealtimes created a brand new dinner experience! Thank you to all the children and staff for their active roles in this celebration.
