The Irish Council for Aspies and Autistic Networking was established as an umbrella network of self and peer advocacy by people with Asperger's, and other diagnosis to insist that our views would be used, and not those of staff or management. NCPD Autistic (Advocacy) Council of Ireland, formerly ICAAN - The Irish Council for Aspies and Autistic Networking - the Autistic Self Advocacy Network - 5 reps per city and county in NI & RoI as users, self and peer advocates - in categories Aspies (HFA, Asperger, Tourettes, Non-Verbal Learning Difficulty/Disability, Atypical Autism, PDD-NOS and Savant), Auties (Kanners, Classic Autism) and Cousins (several multiple common co-morbidities such as AD(H)D, OCD,ODD, GAD, A/SPD or A/SND, SLD, etc- - also merged are AAF, MIAG/C,ASPIRE Midwest support.
