Club News Men’s Captain’s (Martin King) Prize - Flann Lyons is the 2017 winner of the Men’s Captain’s Prize. Flann is a long standing member of the Club and despite some high placings never won a Captain’s or President’s Prize. Well done Flann on Sunday; conditions were difficult with heavy showers and strong winds, and credit is due to all who played on regardless. At the presentation on Sunday night President Conty welcomed Captain Martin’s family and friends to the prize-giving. He said the Men’s Captain had a great work rate and put his heart into every sub-committee he was involved in. he congratulated him on his beautiful prize and congratulated all the winners. Captain Martin said that he was honoured to be chosen as Men’s Captain and he would look back as it been a happy year for him. He thanked the Green-keeping Staff and Course Committee for having the Course in excellent condition on both days. Thanks to Marita and John Ryan for taking the entries; to Men’s Golfing Affairs Committee and Competition Secretary Gerry Hayes; to Proinnsias and Fabian for producing results on the day; to Bar and Catering Staff; to Paddy Bergin and Lottery Committee; to John Hickey for opening the clubhouse on Sunday mornings and lastly to all sponsors. What a great day we had yesterday in Woodbrook Golf Club, Bray for the Rumble for Crumlin. Fabulous course and setting, our golf wasn't too bad and no rain. Monica, Kathleen, Marcelline and myself thoroughly enjoyed the day. Lovely clubhouse and beautiful food, well worth a visit! ⛳️🏌️‍♀️

Our last 9 Hole Mixed Scramble of the season tonight attracted a great turnout with 34 players, and huge Thank You to some of our new lady members who came out and joined in the fun and all thoroughly enjoyed it.
