So there were lots of reasons why Waterstown Park achieved Green Flag Status and Biodiversity was one. So with that in mind and the day that was in it, we went around to have a look at the helping hand we got from Mother Nature and she didn't disappoint.

So after the Green Flag Ceremony, we followed the Pink Ladies + 1 just off the beaten track of Waterstown Park to see some of the areas that they look after and also a well earned cup of tea.

What a great day for Waterstown Park and achieving Green Flag status. To think that most of the people involved this morning stop doing what they do best in order to watch the ceremony. The Pink Ladies+1 stopped working on their patch. The Tidy towns / meitheal group came away from their tidy up. Also parkrun joined in the celebration. Many thanks to these groups, SDCC, Local councillors past and present and not to forget all the individuals that played their part in helping Waterstown Park become our best kept secret. All the dog walkers, walking groups, running clubs and the patrons that frequent the park regularly. Too many individuals to mention but they all know who they are. We will mention our Guardian Angel Helen Mulally for all that she has done to watch over the Park. Thank you all for your contribution.
