As the 25th Anniversary of TicksGiving draws closer, ... A brief explain how it works. The name TicksGiving is a play on words bringing the geo location of the Roaring Donkey in Ticknock and Thanksgiving together. As we have learned in recent years, from the news about charities, your hard earned donations dont always reach your target. So Ticksgiving was born with the mission that everything donated was delivered straight to where it was supposed to be received. TicksGiving has 2 aspects 1) A gift for a child. - Donating a gift, in the knowledge that on Christmas morning, children in Cobh who would otherwise have nothing, would have a pressie to unwrap. (Through Cobh branch SVP) 2) A donation towards a charity - safe in the knowledge that your hard earned donation goes straight to a charity that doesn't let it go to waste. If you can make it to the Donkey next Friday, you will have a great night - guaranteed. Hi Folks, Ticksgiving is next Friday ... But due to The Donk being closed during the renovations, ticket sales for the Hamper raffle are down a bit on previous years so if you're in, please spare a couple of bob for this very worthy cause.
