Description
Sunrise LGBT Kildare is a county wide Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender support and social group in County Kildare. Sunrise LGBT Kildare aims to;
1: provide a support and social network for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered/transsexual and questioning (LGBT) people in Kildare.
2: build a visible, tangible LGBT community in Kildare.
3: represent the interests of the LGBT community in Kildare; in dealings with Government and State agencies, Kildare Local Authorities and other community, voluntary and Statutory organisations.

On Thursday the 23rd of June for the first time in history the #Pride flag was raise high at Kildare County Council to #Celebrate, #Remember and #Recognise as part of a new initiative called #HavingPrideInLocalGovernment Celebrate the massive steps forward in equality that Ireland has made over the last year and acknowledging the work done to achieve these steps. Remembering the 49 victims in the tragic shooting in #PulseNightClub in #Orlando and the countless other LGBT people who have lost their lives throughout the world.
